Hello parents! Welcome to FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics and to the Mukwonago B.E.A.R.s (Building Extremely Awesome Robots) Robotics Team 930. If this is your first experience in FIRST, you are in for a treat.
Members get to work with professionals.
As a FRC member your children will have an opportunity few youth get – the chance to work side-by-side with professionals, in an area of their interest, learning in the best way possible, through hands-on experience. Your children will take concepts they learn in school and apply them to their experience in FRC. They will learn concepts probably far beyond their high school curriculum. They will experience real-life deadlines and expectations, learn to think on their feet and think out of the box as they problem solve. They will harvest leadership skills. They will practice public speaking. They will gain poise and confidence. They will be pushed to new limits, and they will grow in many, many ways.
Team 930 strives to tap into the strengths of each member and help him or her reach his or her potential, or sometimes discover that potential. We believe in offering a learning experience that is fun and fulfilling. Most of all, we firmly believe in the power, energy, enthusiasm and vision youth have to offer to the team, to their school, to the community and to society as a whole.
This is what FIRST celebrates and what makes it stand out above any other program. This is what Team 930 thrives on, the vitality and the unique qualities each individual brings to the team.
