The Mukwonago BEARs

My experience with mentoring the Prairie View Elementary School Lego League Team, the Flying Fadoodles, was extremely rewarding. When I came to the first meeting, I knew only a few of the kids, but as the season continued not only did I become their mentor, but one of their friends. We would laugh at the same things and joke around as well as work hard together. I would help explain concepts like gear ratio, how to use the programming software, and different ways to build things. They were a great group of kids and would listen to what you say and improve from it. Eventually, we worked our way to Regionals, where we managed to make it to State Competition. At State Competition, they managed to take the Rising Star Award, which is rewarded to a young rookie team that shows potential to grow into an extremely successfully team.
